Matthews Wall Spreader for 2×4 Lumber

The Matthews MSE 2×4 Wall Spreader can be used in both vertical and horizontal positions. They are placed at each end of either a 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 pre-cut piece of lumber. The Wall Spreader is a two-piece system one is simply a receptacle for the lumber with a padded flat plate welded to it to protect the wall or ceiling the other is a receptacle for lumber and a telescoping piece to insure a tight fit.

CAUTION: Because lumber sags over long lengths and when weight is added the entire structure may become loose and could come down. To avoid damage to the wall or ceiling plates should only be used directly in line with studs.
